Mike has been helping children, adolescents, adults and couples for over 20 years and started his practice in Port Moody in 2018. He works with children and adolescents and their families, adults & couples.
Mike's particular strength is helping families navigate the school system. In his role in SD#43 as the coordinator of Counselling & Behaviour Support he developed successful and innovative education plans for neurodiverse, anxious and learning disabled students to help them enjoy more success & happiness at school. He also worked with students who struggled with lack of confidence, social skills or executive skills and consulted with schools to enable them to better meet their students needs. If you and/or your child are struggling with school Mike will help.
Prior to entering private practice, as well as working as a counsellor and behavioural consultant in the Coquitlam School District (SD#43) Mike worked in the Anxiety Projects Laboratory at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, Mike was part of the Talking Helps program at SHARE Family & Community Services where he supported couples and adults.
Mike works with clients funded by the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP).
